If you check out the article By Adam Rittenberg of the ESPN Big Ten blog on Big Ten coaching salaries, you can see that Zook has by FAR the least incentive laden contract among the Big Ten coaches. He also has no buyout. So not only can Guenther not hire competent coaches, he doesn't hold them accountable.

I thought you all would find this interesting...on wikipedia, it points out that BEFORE Ron Guenther became AD, the Illini had been to 4 consecutive bowl games. During his 19 year tenure, the Illini have been to 5 bowl games (not counting the most recent one on 12.29-if you can call that a bowl game.) What is up with the Illini faithful???? This man and Zook AND Weber need to go back to whatever rock they came from!
