UI Does Lousy Job in Bringing In Revenue

UI is 9th in revenue from athletics in the Big 10...barely ahead of the debt-ridden athletic department of Indiana. Where is that money going from giving up home football games to play in Detroit and St. Louis?

And yet the DIA has no debt and can afford to give raises to the BB head coach, the FB defensive coordinator and one of the BB assistants. All this and finish in the top 20 in the Director's Cup, sounds like the AD is doing a heck of a job!

Yep, 35th in the country in revenue and 20th in results.

You can ask for much more than that!

"University of Illinois Chancellor Richard Herman was quoted in July, 2006 as saying: "If he's not the best AD in the country, I want to know who is." and "He does a wonderful job of bringing in great coaches and building a team that understands what athletics is and needs to be about."
