Lousy date? National TV, after the holiday schedule, quality opponent, gets a date in C-U for the fans that don't like the home schedule.
Only FRG can see the negative in that.
The negative comes if we make a Jan. 1 bowl as fans will likely be traveling home on that date or after, hence missing this game.
If we tank the football season yet again, then no issue
So I guess the whiners are hoping for a lower ranked bowl, so they can see the basketball game at the UC?
if Illinois makes the Alamo Bowl (remember, just 5 bowl games in 17 years of St. Guenther on the job) it is the same day as the United Center game.
