Scheduling Worry for 2008
It is never to early to look to 2008. Coach Guenther already screwed up with the silly Missouri game in St. Louis through 2010 to open the next three seasons (not to mention this year). In 2008, Illinois opens Big 10 play @Penn State and @Michigan. Currently, there is a game "TBD" for September 20 before those two games. Look here.
So hopefully Coach Guenther schedules a cupcake at home for September 20 and not a game against a team from a BCS school.

Guenther should schedule the TBD game against Idaho. You can't get much cupcakier than that, can you?
If you look really hard you can see we play Eastern Illinois and UL-Layfette. I would say those teams are cupcakes. There would be nothing wrong with scheduling a decent team to prep for the Big 10 season. (Unless you want us to have a worse SOS then Hawaii
