Ready does not mean Done

So Saturday the renovated Memorial Stadium will be unveiled. The DIA keep saying Memorial Stadium will be ready, which is a lot different from saying the renovations will be done. Suite holders will be upset if their suites are not finished. Don't be surprised to see stuff not done on Saturday. Hey bring a utility belt and Coach Guenther can put you to work! There's only 6 home games this year so don't miss it!

What a grasp of the obvious you have. If you knew anything about construction, particularly projects of this scope, you would know this. You obviously don't, so you don't.

Shouldn't you be more concerned about Duke? I mean, what team (and I mean only team) did Duke beat last year?

Dear Anonymous (most likely a DIA employee). I know plenty about construction. When it was apparent back in March that things were way behind schedule, they should have started using double/triple shifts. As it is, it is not going to be done, and if suiteholders see their suites are not finished, they will be very angry, which leads to them not renewing their suites, which leads to a loss of revenue. Hey, are all of the suites sold out?

I'm pretty sure the suites have been sold out for almost a year. I think everyone except for you realizes that most construction never completes on time. Why don't you go cry about the fact that despite your idiotic protests, Guenther is going to be staying around for as long as he wants

Dear Anonymous:
You are a muppet. "Of the 42 suites available to the public, all but three had been leased as this publication went to press."

Dear Idiot (most likely delusional). You'll have to show us your construction expertise since your venting here doesn't reflect it. I have no idea whether or not they worked double/triple shifts and neither do you. The fact that the stadium is ready either means they did spend the overtime or didn't need to. As for the suite holders, if they (I'm assuming you aren't one) have issues I'm sure they will take them up with the appropriate people, but you shouldn't assume that everyone has the same anger management issues that you do. If you don't think the suite holders have been well informed during the whole process and visited their space recently, you are an idiot. Oh that's right...

As far as your imaginative scenario about not renewing their leases, all of the leases are multi year contracts, so it won't be an issue for a few years if it is at all.

I don't know if all the suites are sold out, nor do I care. If I was able to afford one, I'd love to do it.

Seems like everybody had a great time today, especially the returning legends. What an impressive group and renovation. I must be a DIA employee to think like that.

I'm sure FRG will tell us what a disaster the day was. They probably ran out of ketchup somewhere which he'll blame Guenther for.

Wonder if you heard the David William's quote? You know, the former Illini great wide receiver and not a resident of East Central Illinois. Marvelling at all the new facilities, he mentioned how they wanted to do things like this when he was in the program. And then he stated that "it took a team like Zook AND GUENTHER to get it done." I'm interested to see how you're going to attack his credibility.

Obviously David Williams was captured and brainwashed by the East Central Media Elite during his few days on campus. There is no other explanation for comments like these.

By the way, you must be a DIA employee to even bring this up!!! That is what the voices inside my head are telling me...

When DIA clangs the collection bucket at my door to fix the crumbling horseshoe will we be down to 5 home games?
