CNN SI Ranks the Top 25 College Athletic Programs
Illinois fails to not only crack the Top 25, Illinois can't even get into the "best of the rest" category! So much for the myth of Illinois having a well-rounded sports program. That myth is always cranked out by Guenther loyalist and East Central Illinois media types. As we know, Illinois has won just 0.5 Big 10 titles in all sports the past two years.

Well, looks like five Big Ten teams in the top 45 or so.
The better question for me is: what's the ratio of dollars spent to rankings? AFAIK, tOSU isn't anywhere on that list, yet they probably spend as much or more as Michigan. ND can throw far more money at tennis, etc. than any of their brethern in the the Big East. But UConn makes the list too.
Obvious key to success-dominate the dojo of a weak conference (Denver).
You're right. Illinois sucks and Guenther sucks. I suggest you follow the Arizona State program for your enjoyment.
