Another Bruce Weber Recruit Doesn't Stick Around

Add Stan Simpson to the illustrious list that includes Alex Legion, The Legend of Jamar Smith, Richard Semrau, Brian Carlwell among others. Heck I feel like I am missing someone. And number of NCAA tournament wins since 2006? ZERO. Great job, Ron Guenther!

You forgot Rodney Alexander. Ryan Christie was right about our mid major coach.

If Stan Simpson is flunking out, maybe he could play for Calipari.

Aaron Spears also left during Weber's tenure. Plus CJ Jackson was sort-of pushed over to football and taken back only as a walk-on. Considering the guys who have locked up future scholarships in one way or another (Gordon, Palmer, Watkins), it seems like Weber wastes scholarship slots.

When you think about it, the only thing saving Weber's job right now is the Champaign DA not going after Head/McBride, a talented Arizona team completely collapsing, and Trent Meacham walking-on.

People who say Weber has had bad luck are full of crap.

What is Weber's retention rate versus other coaches over his coaching period. Players come and go and I'd like to know if they have left the Illinois program more or less often. Numbers anyone?
