Ugly Rumor Regarding 2009 Football Schedule
going around on illinihq.com is that UI will play @Cincinnati on November 28, 2009. This would mean 6 home games in 2007, 6 home games in 2008, 6 home games in 2009 and 6 home games in 2010.
This rumor, if true, will cause Illini Nation to get even more angry than the stupidity of this year's Guenther's Folly in Detroit.

Don't worry I'm sure the illini will get at least 10K for their appearance.I'm talking dollars not fans.
$120,000,000 from the fans get you 6 home games max. His royal anus, Coach Guenther, decided that 7 home games increases "wear and tear" on the new digs. He wants it to last. 6 home games it is!
Wait until we build/renovate Assembly Hall. We will give road games to Western Illinois.
Please, it's "Saint" Guenther, not "Coach". And he'll still be around for the next renovation of Memorial Stadium, when they put skyboxes in the east balcony & lose another 10,000 seats, making it the smallest stadium in the Big 10.
